Thrillist for iPhone App Reviews

Not bad info but a terrible app

First, it doesnt let you set a default city — or even remember the city you select while navigating within the app — without creating an account. Terrible and unnecessary. Also, their lists often make no organizational sense. If youre providing a list of the "Best Restaurants in Each Neighborhood" then list the neighborhoods. It makes zero sense to list them by restaurant name. For the New Orleans version of this list, some of the reviews dont even mention the neighborhood. Kind of makes the list useless. For an app consisting of nothing but lists, theyre not real good list makers.

Needs some work

I wanted to like this app, because I like the website so much. This app takes the great information from the website and puts it in a terrible-to-browse experience. Once you click through to an article or listing, and try to click back to navigate back to where you came from, it just brings you back to the page for the nearest city -- not the one you were initially browsing. That alone makes this app infinitely frustrating. Ill just be using the website from now on.

No problems

Has worked great for me so far! Really like this app!

Best navigation tool for a newbie!

Im new to SF & have found this app to be very helpful in locating interesting places that are tucked away in neighborhoods or sitting atop of the swankiest hotels in the city!

Lousy App

I wish this app worked but the lists arent even accurate. For example, a list on secret menu items was only a list of restaurants, with their associated description. No mention of any secret dishes. Also, it freezes frequently or leaves me unable to scroll down to view complete info. Thrillist ought to improve it or not offer an app b.c this one is pointless.

Avoid

Ugh, where to begin. I downloaded this app because. The mobile website is an unmitigated disaster. Ads pop-up an block my interaction. Okay so I download the native app to have native app open a f****** webview and we have the same problem as the mobile site. Whats worse, there is no search feature in the app! The browser has one. The UX is also s***, there are too many lists and the detail page has even more lists. Im deleting this app, definitely avoid. All that said, Im happy to volunteer my time to fix this s***, as the content on Thrilist is good, right now hampered by the design and engineering. Straight-up I wonder how much money this s*** is costing the company in lost ad revenue by murdering time-spent. Please fire everyone involved in creating this monstrosity.

Really bad

When an app is worse (in this case much worse) than the website, why should it ever exist? Answer: it shouldnt. Just the fact that you cant view any of the fun and informative lists that cover non-food, or are on nation/world-wide subjects, is reason enough to stick with the website. Shame on the hacks that put this piece of excrement out.

Love This App

I literally have zero complaints I love this app. Its perfect for when I travel and I use it to learn about new and old places and events in Los Angeles that I knew nothing about

Keeps Crashing

Fix the app !!
